Joshua Ray Summey

Well, this is the beginning. I have been writing songs for bands for a long time. Now with a wife and child, I must make sure that when roster changes happen that I do not have to start over. i.e. no band names, which basically means no band 🙂

“And still, here we are. Just me and my guitar”… again LOL

This of course is a technicality. I will still search out and depend on the great musicians I can find & already play with.

With that said, engineer Mike Tristan, and I are at it again. The best of my friends has signed on yet again to be my production partner in crime (only god and mike t know why). After Hazy Ray’s Deep & Shallow and the ‘Linda’ EP, we are undertaking part one of a trilogy of very EPs.

While 1st effort ‘Lust Story’ will feature a couple of rock moments and a quasi-abstract introduction, it is in the rhythm & blues vein of what I do.

Drummer, Scott Graves, and bassist, Oliver Watkinson are the principal rhythm section on the project. Willie McCullen and Sean Rodriguez of Hazy Ray are making an appearance as well. The Big Easy Brawlers & Alan Green Jr. also confirmed interest in the project! I cannot tell you how excited I am about the songs and the musicians for this first effort. I have no ETA because I will love every note of the effort before it comes out.
